Building Permits

It is important to realize before you start any physical remodeling of your home that any construction which you carry out may require for you to have a building permit. It will either be up to you or the contractor to obtain each permit that may be required.

Please also note that building codes may specify how each project should be completed. Local inspectors will ensure that the construction meets the building code, and it will be helpful to understand these codes when assembling your specs.
